All Veterans/Active Duty/Reserves and National Guard members who are farmers or who are considering purchasing a farm are invited to attend a free “Farmer Veteran Workshop” taking place on April 2nd in Clarksville. 


All Veterans/Active Duty/Reserves and National Guard members who are farmers or who are considering purchasing a farm are invited to attend a “Farmer Veteran Workshop” taking place on April 2 in Clarksville. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. CDT and continues until 3 p.m.

The purpose of the workshop is to acquaint Farmer Veterans with the resources available to all farmers through the local cooperative Extension offices operated by the University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University 
as well as USDA, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and other cooperating partners.​

The workshop is free to attend and will be held at the UT/TSU Extension Montgomery County Office, 1030 Cumberland Heights Road, Suite A, Clarksville, TN 37040-6901. Speakers will include representatives from the USDA/FSA, UT Center for Profitable Agriculture, TN AgrAbility Project, TSU New Farmer Academy, Farmer Veteran Coalition/Homegrown by Heroes, Tennessee Department of Agriculture and more.

Current Farmer Veterans are encouraged to volunteer to promote their products at a table display. Several vendors will also have displays setup. Free coffee and lunch will be provided.
