The 4-H Livestock Program consists of the beef, dairy, goat, sheep, swine, and poultry projects. These projects will help 4-H’ers learn about the selection, production, management, health and showing of their respective animals. Special focus is given to the importance of record keeping for long-term success. As a part of their records, 4-H’ers must identify goals for their involvement within the project area as well as with their farm management. 4-H’ers learn self-confidence through various project talks as well as animal shows.
