4-H Horse Program

The 4-H Horse program is developed for individuals who have a passion for horses whether they own one or not.  Some activities offered include the following:
 
Non-Riding Horse Activities:

Horse Bowl & Hippology - Quiz bowl to test equine IQ.  Competition is held in January.
Horse Judging - Members learn the criteria for different equine disciplines and then attend 3+ judging contests in April(regional) and June (state).
Horse Speech and Demonstration Contests - Individuals can create a speech or equine related demonstration and present it at competitions.

Horseback Riding Activities:
Local, Regional & State Horse Shows - Any 4-H member who wishes to participate in region or state shows will need to complete the registration process and pay the fees at the local extension office.  Members are eligible for any and all 4-H sanctioned shows for the upcoming show season.  See below for more information on upcoming horse shows.
