4-H Club Meetings begin in September for participating schools. To be eligible to participate in 4-H you must be in the 4th - 12th grade. We are currently in these schools on a monthly basis during school hours: Calhoun Elementary, EK Baker, Englewood, Etowah City, Mountain View, Niota, Roger's Creek, and Westside. Homeschooled youth may attend our 4-H Homeschool Meeting held at Christ Community Church once a month. We also have specialty clubs that meet once a month in the evenings - Horse Club and Honor Club. Club meetings will be held in the months of September, October, November, January, February and March. We also have field days in May for 4-H participants (4th Grade participates in Farm City Day and 5th-8th Grades participate in Spring Rally field days).
Contests for the year are: Public Speaking, 4-H Posters, Demonstrations, Recycled Ornaments, Baking, Clover Bowl, Photography, and Science Fair exhibits. One to two contests are held monthly - 4-H members are given information during their club meetings.
