Description

In this produce safety workshop, Dr. Annette Wszelaki will talk about agricultural water sources and the potential food safety risks associated with each, water application methods and timing to reduce risks, adopting practices to manage ag water, how to test water and interpreting the test results and what to do if the results indicate the water is not suitable for its intended use, and records to keep. Dr. John Buchanan will give you a peek at out mobile irrigation water disinfection demonstration unit that shows a UV system, chemical injection (with peroxyacetic acid or chlorine) and a chlorine tablet feeder (Accutab) system. Dana York and Camille Cody will give us a tour and share their set-up and sources for production water at Grand Oak Farm.
