The 4-H program encourages diverse groups of youth to develop their unique skills and talents to their fullest potential. Young people participate in 4-H through clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps and many other activities. "Learning by doing" through hands on activities and community involvement empowers 4-Hers to develop and strengthen life skills. The 4-H program is a family affair that includes not only the parent-child relationship, but, also the extended family of community and state. It is a unique blend of government, private business and volunteers working together to broaden the horizons of Lincoln County's young people.
Youth participate in 4-H through school 4-H clubs, community clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps and many other activities. Although there are many common activities, each county in Tennessee has its own unique programs and areas of emphasis. Our county's 4-H program offers a wide range of projects, events and activities so that every member can find something that appeals to them and at which they can excel.
The 4-H program is a unique educational program open to all Lincoln County youth in the 4th thru 12th grades. It encourages all of its members to develop their own individual talents and skills. As 4-Hers, young people are able to actively participate in activities, events and projects that develop and strengthen life skills preparing them for whatever the future may hold for them.
