Beef Producer Programs


Our office provides a variety of educational programs beneficial to area cattle producers. Through programs on forages, herd health farm finances and Beef Quality​ Assurance (BQA) certification, producers receive the latest information on cattle production.


Breaking News and Alerts


The Extension Office can provide you with up-to-date information on West Nile Virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, Japanese Beetles, Fire Ants and more.


Farm Finance/Management Programs


The Extension Agent and Area Farm Management Specialist offers producers information on alternative agricultural enterprises, farm budgeting, and UT Extension software. Visit the Farm Financial Management website.


Plant Disease, Weed, and Pest Identification


We can identify and show you how to prevent and treat any plant disease, weed, or pest. U.T. Extension's Distance Diagnostic technology links our office to specialists in Nashville and Knoxville.

Private Applicator Training


We provide certification and recertification for Private Pesticide Applicators-allowing them to purchase and use restricted use chemicals.

Publications


The UT Extension Service offers free publications on everything from ant control to wildlife food plots. Stop by and see us or visit the Extension Publications Web site.


Soil and Forage Testing


Our office can test your soil to determine nutrient requirements for $7.00 (for 10 acres or less). We also can test forages and grains for acid detergent fiber, crude protein and moisture content. The cost is $10.00 per sample.
