We're excited to be able to offer a variety of fun and educational camps for your youngster to attend! Sign ups begin April 4 at our office and spaces are limited! The final deadline to be signed up and paid varies by camp. Thanks to generous community organizations, scholarships* are available for each camp, based on financial need. Candy bars are available to sell as a fundraiser from April until June.** We do our best to make sure that every 4-H member who wants to go, gets to go!

Registration Deadline: June 10
Junior 4-H Camp is for 4-H members who have completed grades 4-6. Activities include zip-lining, swimming, shooting sports, creek stomping, tubing, nature hikes, leather craft and woodworking, T-shirt airbrushing, skits, music, and more. Here is the official video. Please be aware that Ridley does not have a lake or foosball.

Junior Hi 4-H Camp-Ridley Rampage is for 4-H members who have completed grades 6-8. The Color Wars theme focuses on active team building, problem solving, STEM, citizenship and leadership skills. Activities STILL include swimming, shooting sports, mini golf, tubing, nature hikes, leather craft and woodworking, T-shirt airbrushing, skits, music, and more.
Specialty Camps
If you visit the Tennessee State 4-H Page, you'll see a number of specialty camps. Some of these opportunities are specific to the Region. The Specialty camps below are open to Lawrence County 4-H members. All specialty camp attendance must be coordinated through the Lawrence County Extension Office.
4-H O.W.L.S. Camp (Grades 6-10) Dates: May 28-31, 2019 Location: Brandon Springs Group Center, Dover, TN Cost: $190

If you love to be outdoors, then this is the camp for you! You will hike, swim, fish, canoe, work on service projects, sit around the campfire and enjoy nature from sunup to sundown. Join the adventure and experience the excitement of the great outdoors! It is open to 6th-10th grade students with an interest in all things outdoors. Transportation is the responsibility of individual participants. Coordinate with your Extension Agent.
Junior High Academic Conference is an educational program on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Participants receive intensive training in their 4-H project areas under the supervision of university scientists and specialists, and explore related career opportunities. The conference provides a variety of rewarding and fun-filled experiences in classroom, outdoor and laboratory settings. For more information, please visit the Academic Conference Web site.
4-H Electric Camp, (Grades 6-7) Dates: June 25-28, 2019 Location: UT Knoxville Cost: $290

Electric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The camp features learning centers staffed by electric utility professionals. Each learning center will use hands-on activities that allow 4-H members to learn about electricity by doing. A 4-H member does not have to be enrolled in the electric project to attend the camp, but they should have an interest in this area. 4-H members may attend Electric Camp only once.

4-H Target Smart Camp is a program of Tennessee 4-H Shooting Sports. It is for youth who are enrolled in grades 5-9 as of the date of the camp. This resident camp is located at the W.P. Ridley 4-H Center in Columbia, Tennessee. At camp youth learn appropriate skills to succeed in a variety of shooting sports and related areas such as archery, riflery, shotgun use, muzzle loading, and outdoor skills. Programs emphasize safety, correct form, and responsible use. Campers should receive prior training before attending this camp. Transportation is the responsibility of individual participants.
Western Region Line and Design Camp, (Grades 6-12) Dates: July 8-10, 2019 Location: UT Martin Cost: $120

The Western Region Line & Design Camp encourages children to discover their own creative abilities and explore opportunities to develop skills that will be long lasting and perhaps contribute to a profitable income. Children engage through experimental "hands-on" learning projects/classes. Camp is open to all youth who are entering grades 6 through 12. For more information, click here to download the flyer.
