In order to protect elderly people from the COVID-19 pandemic, many nursing homes now have strict no-visitation policies. Luckily, there is no evidence that it is spread through the mail. A great way to connect with an elder is to compose a handwritten, thoughtful letter for them, and help them combat loneliness during these tough times.
Love For the Elderly is an organization that collects handwritten letters, and distributes them to interested elders in senior communities.
Follow their guidelines, and mail the letter to them.
Take a picture of yourself holding the letter and envelope before you mail it off!
