TAI CHI for Health
Programs endorsed by the Tennessee Arthritis Foundation, developed by Dr. Paul Lam, and offered through UT Extension, and taught by certified Extension Agents.
Tai Chi for Arthritis-Part I & Part II
Appropriate for individuals with mild to moderate impaired joint motion and/or strength. Available upon request for groups of 12 or more.
Part I is taught in 12 sessions. Cost is $48.
Part II is taught in 12 sessions. Cost is $48.
Tai Chi for Diabetes
This specially designed program by medical and Tai Chi experts focuses on the health benefits of diabetes, suitable for people with no prior knowledge of Tai Chi, it is safe and easy-to-learn.
Designed to prevent and improve control of diabetes by gently increasing physical activities, cellular glucose and relaxation.
Class is taught in 12 sessions. Cost is $48
Tai Chi for Osteoporosis
This is an easy-to-learn, effective and safe program for people with osteoporosis. Medical studies have shown tai chi improve balance, reduce falls and slow down the loss of bone density. Tai Chi movements from these studies have been incorporated in this program.

18 Forms Tai Chi Qigong
A series of energy enhancing exercises that coordinate movement with breathing and concentration. They are beneficial for people of all ages and can be performed either sitting or standing. Unlike most forms of exercise that work on the larger muscle groups, Tai Chi Qigong encourages the stretching and stimulation of smaller muscles and ligaments, stimulate blood and lymph circulation, and exercise all major joints, ligaments and muscles, resulting in increased flexibility and muscle tone.

This form is a natural progression for those who know Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) Part I and Part II Included are some of the same movements plus many new and challenging ones. This class is open to individuals who have completed TCA I and II. No charge
