Educational Programs and ServicesPlease contact your county Extension office to learn more about what programs on bioterrorism and disaster management are available in your area.Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) for Tennessee — Research-based programs on a variety of disaster management issues. Family and Consumer Sciences Emergency Preparedness Program — Information to help individuals and families plan & prepare for a disaster, information on what to do if a disaster occurs, and information on how to recover from a disaster. Family and Consumer Sciences Bioterrorism/Homeland Security Web Site Farm-A-Syst — to help farm families and rural residents assess and reduce risks affecting the quality of their water. Farm Safety and Health — Web site providing information on prevention and management of environmental hazards; proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials; farm equipment safety; and other safety and health issues. Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) — Training in evaluating hazards and risks in agriculture and food industries. Training for apple cider producers in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and controlling processes and production under tighter controls. Tennessee Food Safety Task Force — The Food Safety Priority Team is focusing on developing effective teaching materials to address programs for the producer, processor, institutional food service and consumer.
